According to Forbes report, the world's ten highest-paid actors, together, tallied a combined $748.5 million between June 1,2017 and June 1, 2018, before fees and taxes. And the world's ten highest-paid actresses, together, tallied a combined $186 million between June 1,2017 and June 1, 2018, before fees and taxes.

Here are the 10 highest-paid actors and actresses in total.

10- Salman Khan

earnings: $38.5 million

This Bollywood mainstay continues to produce and star in hits such as Tiger Zinda Hai, chasing in on backing profits. Coupled with a slew of endorsements from Suzuki motorcycles to Chlormint gum, he remains one of India's top earners.

9. Adam Sandler

earnings: $39.5 million

Thanks to a plush Netflix deal the king of home video continues to make big bucks from the comedies he writes, directs and stars in for the streaming service. He also supplements his income with live comedy gigs that garner six figures per night.

7. Akshay Kumar

earnings: $40.5 million

One of Bollywood's leading men has transitioned to socially-conscious roles, such as toilet, a comedy supporting government campaigns to improve sanitation and Padman, about a guy hoping to provide inexpensive sanitary pads to rural communities. He still mints millions from backend profits and endorsing some 20 brands including Tata and Eveready.

7. Scarlett Johansson

earnings: $40.5 million

Playing Black Widow in Marvel's Avengers movies has become a lucrative role for Johansson, who quadruples her 2017 earnings. she'll return onscreen for the fourth installment of the superhero conglomerate series in 2019.

6. Will Smith

earnings: $42 million

At 49, Bel Air's prince may no longer be fresh, but he's still banking big bucks. His turn in Netflix's panned Bright earned him an estimated $20 million, while a  forthcoming role as Genie in Disney's live action Aladdin adds to his bottom line. in a rare return to music, he also appeared on Nicky Jam's world cup anthem "Live it up".

5. Jackie Chan

earnings: $45.5 million

Continuing to embrace his status as China's top movie star, Chan appeared in six films that came out in 2017, including starring roles in action flicks Bleeding steel and The Foreigner. He earns extra from a vast array of endorsements, producer credits and even his own line of movie theaters.

4.Chris Hemsworth

earnings: $64.5 million

The God of Thunder more than doubled last year's earnings total thanks to his cut from Marvel movies such as Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: infinity war. There is more financial success rumbling for Hemsworth: he'll co-star in the fourth Avengers movie, due out next year.

3. Robert Downey Jr  

earnings: $81 million

Iron Man still negotiates with Iron fist, cashing an estimated $15 million upfront for 2017's limited screen time role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He earned several times that amount for Avengers: infinity war, between that and family tentpole The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, Downey nearly doubles his 2017 paycheck.

earnings: $124 million

The former wrestler tallied the highest ever acting take-home in celebrity 100 history, thanks to giant upfront paychecks and a cut of profits on blockbusters including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. A huge social following allows him to negotiate an extra seven figures atop his standard contract for promotion, helping nearly double his 2017 earnings.

earnings: $239 million

British liquor giant Diageo purchased Casamigos, the tequila company the movie star cofounded with pals Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, for $700 million. The sale gives Clooney the best annual take-home of his - or any actor's- career.
